Garden Paper Bag Mini Album

The theme for this paper bag album is "Garden". The size of this mini album is 6"x5" . It took me two weeks to get this much done and there's room for more embellishment which I am going to add in bit by bit as inspiration flows. I just want to show you (whoever is still following my blog, ha ha) the ideas and design I came out with. For the garden gate, I hand-drawn and cut out the details, then have it embossed with wood-grain pattern and painted with crackled paint. The topiary, watering can and garden bench die cuts were colored and pieced together.  If you're an avid paper crafter like me you will understand the many, many, MANY long but happy hours designing and creating and putting together  every little detail into each page of the album.

The gate opens to a wooden signboard. It has a pocket to put the  birdcage tag .

This  birdcage tag is for journalizing.

And all the small frames are for pictures.

I love all the warm colors of autumn. I just have to have autumn theme  for the garden album.

These tags go into the watering can postage pocket.

The album ends with a rustic looking gate and opens two ways.

The rocking chair and couch are from Magnolia stamps. All the frames have pockets for pictures.  For now I  save the tiny bits of  pretty pattern papers to use for framing.

Chunky Paper Bag Album with the Lot -Part 1 of 3

For a long while I had been wanting to own one of those beautiful and intrigue paper bag albums which I had seen over and over in YouTube. At first I could not comprehend how some flimsy lunch bags can transform into the most beautiful scrapbook albums I have ever seen. I went to Search Engine and Google on the topic. I found a tutorial there and from that day on, I don't see paper bags as just some flimsy lunch brown bags but a precious craft item. Part of the reason for it is because the stores here don't sell the square-bottomed lunch paper bags. I had to ask my auntie from United States to bring a pack home while she was here on vacation.
Finally, I was able to rise up and take the challenge of attempting the Paper Bag Album project and the end result is a beautiful scrapbook album I can call my own. There are a lot more to do with it, putting in photographs and writing journals and adding more embellishments as  I go along. I can't wait! Keeping memories in beautiful albums is a lifetime keeper. This is my first paper bag album and it sure isn't going to be the last.
I am ever so thankful for those generous and creative crafters who  share their album and card designs, ideas, tutorials and time that have inspired me to come up with my own modification of the designs and in return share my creative ideas here. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
I hope this note will be an encouragement to all crafters that if I make a paper bag scrapbook album, so can you :) Hope you'll have as much fun as I have had!

Chunky Paper Bag Album with the Lot- Part 3 of 3

Most pages have a pocket at the bottom for storing tags.

Tri-fold page.

Lift up to show panels for pictures.

This page is created to hold a Mini Accordion Card.
I stamped the row of birds on the beautiful paper to compliment the pattern paper. I also stamp images on die shape cut from Spellbinder.

Untie the ribbon to show the inside of the accordion card.
More spaces for photos.

I attached a Double Slider Card to the album.
The Bird Nest is a from a die cut on a pattern paper and corner is distressed with ink.
More stamping.

This pocket holds a Petal Fold Card.

This page has a Waterfall Card.

Chunky Paper Bag Album with the Lot - Part 2 of 3

The cover of the album is made from chipboard. The center flower wreathe is made with layering of tea party doily die-cut, branch and flower die-cut secured together with brads. The large butterfly die-cut is distressed with ink and coated with glitter powder.
This is how chunky the album is.

Plenty of space for adhering photographs
And plenty of tags for journalizing.

I created a Pop Up Slider card for this page.
Adorable Magnolia Tilda is colored and sitting pretty with the surrounding pop up flowers which are attached to wire.
What is so neat about paper bag album is the opening that is used as a big pocket for larger photos or tags.
The bulkier and bigger items go into the large side pockets.

Pretty in pink, love these pattern papers.
One of my stamp collections from My Favorite Things. The message on the tag is "Once you choose hope, everything is possible."

I'm still learning to take better pictures with my camera. Some of them went vertical instead of the horizontal view that I would want them to be.
Most of the pages hardly need effort to make them stand out as the beautiful pattern papers are best left open.

A bulky and chunky album it is, with lots of individual card projects enclosed.
These adorable stamped girls are from Penny Black Stamps.

I added a keepsake page with envelopes.

Multi pocket holder to hold small cards and tags.
