Bon Voyage with Hot Air Balloon Die Shape

I'd just realized that I don't have any "goodbye" card in my collection. A Hot Air Balloon die shape -shown above - makes a good farewell card.

After playing around with colors and papers I came out with this combination.

I'll leave one of the tags blank for the time being until the card is ready to be given away.

Thank you for being my friend

To all the loved ones and friends that God send in my path:
A wee bit of heaven
drifted down from above,
a handful of happiness,
a heart full of love.
-Helen Steiner Rice-
"Of all the gifts life could send-
the best is knowing you're my friend!"
Thank You

Hearts of Love

I love making cards with Heart die shapes, a variety of different heart shapes. I fell in love with this design and I felt I just got to make it for someone special.

Cut squares of same size in white, stamp for background or decorate as you wish. Cut out alphabet letters and color heart shapes as desire.

Use double sticky tape and foam and adhere to the white squares.

Arrange the embellished squares and this is simply a lovely card to make for loved ones.

We Are FAMILY with Puzzle Die Shape

My first try out with making a card with the Puzzle die shape in my collection. The first thought about puzzles is fitting together for completeness. That's what my family dream is about, having each and every one in the family coming together in person whenever possible, thoughts, prayers, phone calls, sms or any means of communication no matter how far apart we are and no matter where the trials of life lead each of us. "Each one of us will be a blessing to the other"....Family ties will be much stronger if we build our family dream on loving each other, having fun together, staying loyal and standing by each other no matter what happens, growing together in learning more of each other's unique character- strength and weakness AND hanging on to the same faith in God who created family in the first place and has all the instructions for a blissfully happy family.

This card is made with cut out from Puzzle die shape and Lace border die shape and alphabet cut out.

Trying out the arrangement... like this...

or that....

Embellish with ribbon and sparkles and stamped messages that reads :
Thinking of you
1. expression of thoughtfulness.
2. showing care and concern.
3. letting you know I'm here for you.

I cut out the cake from Cake die shape, embellish it with tiny brown stripes and polka dots. The letters are from Sizzix die shapes and so is the scallop card.

I Love You

I'm suppose to make a birthday card for my son but I can't resist this fabulous design that I came across and I just have to make this card with the Heart and Flower die shapes as shown. The birthday card has to wait. This would make a great anniversary card for my husband except when I showed him the card he said the color is kinda flat or boring. Maybe he prefers red hearts to black ones.....I'll make another one with red hearts and get feedback from him. For me, I love to work with all colors so when I saw this design I fell in love with it right away!

The background is stamped with swirls. The "you n me" tag is cut out from Ellison die shape. the alphabet letters are from Sizzix.

Flower Vase and flowers

I enjoy making cards and I usually leave some space for tag with messages when ready to give away.

The flower vases are cut out from Jeart 10000015-12 - Just For You die shapes. I used foam for stems and stigma and vellum paper for the flowers.

Embellished House and Christmas trees

READY, GET SET...MAKE CARDS FOR CHRISTMAS!!! YIPPEE! I'm really missing white Christmases, that's why I can't help but make Christmas cards with snowman and snowflakes die shapes to remind me of the white christmases I had had in the good old days...The house, snowflakes and embossed x'mas tree and border hollies are all from Jeart/Double Do/Kutz die shapes - Jeart 1301030 House, 120033 Snowflakes#3 and 1800071 Lace#50 border die.

Anniversary Card

I made this card for a dear couple who are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this coming weekend. It's a joy and honor to be invited to celebrate with them their twentieth year into marriage. If you can love someone with the kind of love that the bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 it shows you're really committed to a relationship and demonstrating unconditional love to make someone really happy.

Inside the card it reads:
What are the keys to a happy, strong marriage?
A united purpose to serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15 in the bible says:"...choose today whom you will serve...But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."
Commitment.
"Since they are no longer two but one, let no one separate them, for God has joined them together." Matthew 19:4-6
Faithfulness. Without faithfulness there is no real trust or intimacy.
"Drink water from your own well - share your love only with your wife." Proverbs 5:15
"Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery." Hebrews 13:4
A healthy sex life.
"Kiss me again and again, for your love is sweeter than wine...Bring me into your bedroom, O my king..My lover is like a sachet of myrrh lying between my breasts." Songs of Songs 1:2-4
HAPPY 20th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!
